A call came in this morning for water damage cleanup in Charlotte from a home off of Park Rd. The homeowner said he left the house to run some errands before his kids got on the bus for school. He returned a few hours after the kids left to find water coming from under his front door. He went inside and noticed the supply line to the toilet was shooting water all over the place causing water damage. He paniced briefly and then search online for water restoration companies in Charlotte and contacted us at Property Restoration Inc. Water was rushing throughout the house for at least 2 hours making a massive amount of water damage to the living room and hallway and some of the floor and walls leading to other rooms. After finding the source the homeowner was unable to turn off the water because of the location of where the pipe burst. After some panic we were able to calm him down over the phone and instructed him on how to turn off the water from the main line to stop the flow of water and lessen the water damage. He then made his way to the curb and attempted to turn off the water from the main shutoff valve using pliers from the garage. About 20 minutes later we arrived to move forward with water mitigation.
