A simple task of washing cloths caused thousands of dollars in water damage to a home in west Charlotte this morning. Our customer called us for emergency water damage cleanup in Charlotte after going into the kitchen and noticing water coming from the ceiling. The laundry room is on the second floor of the house. She stated that when she discovered the water damage she immediately went to the laundry room and the washing machine appears to have pulled the hose out of the connection during the spin cycle causing water to flow into the room for a few hours. The washing machine has been shaking frequently because her children have been putting too many cloths in it but she had no idea she would need a water restoration company and this can happen. When we arrived to the water was already off but certain areas in the ceiling where collapsing due to the water damage to the drywall. As we started with our water mitigation process the demo was concentrated to the laundry room and kitchen ceiling
