We received a call for water restoration in Rock Hill SC right outside of Charlotte due to a pipe burst in a hallway wall. The customer noticed issues with the drywall a day before then all of the sudden after coming home from a Mother’s Day lunch the house was flooded with the entire carpet saturated and water wicked up the walls after looking around to find where the water damage is coming from she thought about the area of drywall that looked weak recently and she noticed water flowing from under the baseboard. When we arrived, we turned off the water to the property and had to proceed with a large amount of demo starting with almost all of the first floor drywall in the living room, kitchen, dining room, hallways, and bathroom. We also had to remove all of the carpet and vinyl flooring in the first floor. The cause of the water damage is what most plumbers call a pin hole leak. If they addressed it the night before it would not have opened up wider and our service of water mitigation would have been prevented.
