This afternoon we received a call for water damage cleanup in Charlotte from a customer that returned home to find a ton of water damage and see themselves in need of water mitigation services due to a water line break in their bathroom toilet. From our experience in water restoration when we look at a water line break usually there is a burst of rupture or a hole in the line somewhere. In this situation the water damage there wasn’t necessarily a hole in the waterline the water damage happened because the pipe broke away from the toilet which means that the water was just flowing from the original hose on to the floor for hours on end throughout the day creating the need for water damage cleanup once the customer arrived home.
