Water Heather Leak Floods North Charlotte Home

early this afternoon we received a call for water damage cleanup services from a customer that returned home from running some errands to notice that their entire living room was completely flooded along with other areas in the garage and another adjoining wall that connected to the bathroom. after returning home the customer first realize that her feet were completely wet and she did not know why she began to investigate thinking that maybe she spilled something and then realize that there was so much water that she did not know what to do she look in the bathroom to figure if a faucet was running and it wasn’t and then she opened up the utility closet which houses the water heater and realize that there was a very very bad leak in the water heater and it was shooting water throughout the room. at this point she looked online for water restoration services in Charlotte and contacted our company to come out and provide the water cleanup services. when we arrived the first thing we did was turn off the water at the main line this is because we wanted to limit the amount of further intrusion of water into the home to keep it from getting even worse. in this situation the amount of water damage throughout that portion of our home was not as bad as it typically could be when it comes to a leak in the water heater this is because the location of the garage in the fact that the bathroom was right behind that wall but also shares a wall with the garage the water primarily migrated to the outside of the house through the garage damaging only those two areas which was beneficial because if the water heater was in a different location the degree of water damage to this home would be so much more. after looking over the situation and making sure we had everything documented correctly we contacted her Allstate insurance agent in Charlotte to verify that this water damage was covered end went about our typical water restoration drying process..
