In water restoration the location of a water heater is something that is critical to the amount of water damage a particular customer may have at any given time if there is a failure in some way with the water heater. Today’s call for water restoration in Charlotte resulted in one of the worst-case scenarios when it comes to a water heater failure leading to water damage in the home. The customer called very frantically and afraid because water was coming from the ceiling of her home and she had no clue why and did not know how to stop it as it appeared to be raining into the home and everywhere causing water damage to multiple areas of the house two levels of ceilings multiple walls and floors and multiple bedrooms. As we talked with the customer to kind of get a idea to how we’re going to address this water damage situation we realize that the problem was most likely a water heater in the attic and not a broken pipe. The customer advised us that they purchased the house a few months ago but they had no clue where the water heater was and with our experience as a water restoration company in Charlotte we realized that is typically the only reason water would come from the ceiling flooding someone’s home.
