Early this morning we received a call for emergency water restoration in Charlotte NC from a homeowner that woke up to a flood in her home causing a ton of water damage. The customer said that her daughter left the shower on after washing the night before and did not turn it off. Typically, this would not have caused water damage but as we have stated before in our opinion as a Charlotte water mitigation company many reasons for water damage cleanup are preventable. As parents we tell our children to do something and like many kids they ignore or forgot because they don’t see the consequence. The customer constantly reminded her daughter to clean her hair from the bottom of the drain but due to ignoring it over time the daughter caused a large amount of water damage that would have been easily prevented with cleaning of the shower.
