We received a call for water restoration services in Charlotte this morning at the house in the Northlake area off of Harris Blvd due to water damage that started in the laundry room. The customer stated that the washing machine may have been over filled in rattled from side to side bringing the water supply loose from the connection in the wall which made water flow all into the laundry room and eventually into other areas of the house causing water damage to wood large portion of the downstairs.  As the water mitigation company in Charlotte one of the things we frequently see that can cause water damage is a faulty installation of an appliance or sometimes things that just aren’t screwed on tight enough and that could be part of the situation that led to the need for today’s water damage cleanup call because if the hose was tight enough on the faucet typically it should not have been able to work this way off regardless of how much the washing machine was moving from side to side in addition this issue of water damage may also be due to faulty parts in the washing machine that made it move from side to side.
