Water damage from appliance failure is something that happens from time to time but when it results in 30 thousand dollars in water damage a simple fix can be a nightmare for a homeowner. We received a call from a homeowner in desperate need for water mitigation services at his rental property in Charlotte NC. When he called the home was actively experiencing a massive water leak in the upstairs bathroom. Recently he had the fill valve replaced on his toilet and water was now flowing from the base of the water tank onto the floor. When we arrived to provide water restoration services we noticed the seal was not properly tightened on the toilet fill valve. It must have failed at a time the renter was gone for most of the day.
