Early this morning we received a call for water mitigation in Charlotte for a home on Diana Dr. The customer awoke to the sound of water in the bedroom due to a broken pipe in the attic. In my years in the water restoration in Charlotte I have seen pipes and appliances that required water in the craziest of places but n my opinion one of the worst places to install a water heater is in the attic. Water heaters in the attic may have a logical purpose in the plumbing field but in water mitigation it is a recipe for water damage. Instead of needing water damage cleanup services contained to the garage we had to extract water from the first and second floor of the home with most of the home affected.
