First time home owners beware of the water damage that can be caused by a faulty hot water heater in the ceiling of older homes. We received a frantic water clean-up call from a young couple who purchased their first home in the NoDa area of Charlotte. The couple arrived home from work to a completely soaked 2nd floor with extensive water damage to the first floor ceiling due to a leak in the water heater in the attic. We arrived within 30 minutes with all hands on deck to start the water clean-up and water restoration process and finished the initial mitigation and demo in a few hours.
