We received a call for water restoration in Charlotte from a customer that was experiencing an issue of severe water damage due to a running toilet. When we arrived to provide water mitigation services we realize the toilet was still running and water was backing up into the house continuously the customer stated that they turned off the water that led to the toilet however the running from the water wasn’t actually coming from the toilet waterline when we did some investigating to figure out what was the cause of the water damage after searching and taking moisture readings we found the water was coming from the mainline and backing into the house due to a severe clog of some type. To our luck when it comes to water damage cleanup sewer back ups which this typically would’ve been classified as are not always the cleanest of types of water damage the technician likes to take care of but we were fortunate enough that the clog was coming from the constant running of the toilet that was on the second floor but the water was coming out of the toilet on the first floor because it had nowhere to go.
