this afternoon’s call for water restoration in the Charlotte area was from a customer on amir Circle in Matthews North Carolina which is right outside of Charlotte. the customer explained to us that they were doing upgrades to the home specifically remodeling the kitchen when they realized that there was an issue under the sink causing water damage. Once we arrive to begin the water mitigation and water damage cleanup process we quickly realized that the water damage was caused by a break in water line underneath the sink. The customer explained that he was installing new countertops and had to remove the faucet initially and then put it back once he install the countertops correctly he stated that he may have left a utility knife near the water line and it must have ruptured the line during the process. Appointment the reason he did not initially notice the water damage was because the way the utility knife was under the sink it did not go all the way into the water line so the leak was slow and not noticeable creating a situation where the water damage takes place over a short time and not right away like most cases of water restoration.
