This afternoon we received the call for emergency water restoration in Charlotte from the customer whose home is located in the Wilmore neighborhood of West Charlotte off of West boulevard. The customer advised us that she was out for a walk with her dog when she returned home she realized that there was water coming out of the front door onto the driveway and also into the yard. When she opened the door she realized there was a large amount of water damage with parts of the wall caving in along with parts of the ceiling falling down. She immediately ran upstairs and notice that the water was running in the sink and she forgot to turn it off before she left the home which resulted in the water damage that took place. Once we arrived to begin the water damage cleanup process after surveying the situation to begin the water mitigation needs. We started the water extraction and removed all of the wet materials from the house along with a large part of the flooring. The customer is kind of shot due to the amount of demolition we had to do to mitigate the water damage but after explaining to her that because she was gone for an hour to an hour and a half so much water got into places where it typically would not have created this type of water damage if it was caught in time.
